Born and raised in San Francisco, she attended Wellesley College for her undergraduate work and received her Doctor of Medicine degree at Cornell University. She was a resident in Ophthalmology at Stanford, and rejoined Pacific Eye Associates in 2005 after a Medical Retina fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. To learn more, make an appointment with Dr. Fung and see the website at: www.areds2.org On June 30, 2006 the FDA gave final approval for LUCENTIS after four years of clinical trials. Made by GENENTECH, Lucentis is for the treatment of the wet form or AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION. Two new clinical trials are currently accepting patients.
